The Office Type is an office-themed comedy dating simulator with a wide variety of characters to learn about and narratives to explore. Take each character on dates around the city, learn their interests, answer questions, and gain their affection through match-three puzzle gameplay. Play the updated demo today!

The Demo
After the initial introduction, you'll choose a roster of eight characters (selecting one of three options from each of the office supply types) and then have four introduction scenes where you'll meet two datable characters at a time. After meeting all the characters from your roster, the next day of the game begins and you can choose who you'll spend time getting to know better (i.e., first dates!). Each day of the game allows for 3 total dates (Morning, Afternoon, and Sunset). The Office Type Demo includes character introductions with the entire roster (24 characters!) and allows you to play through Date 1 with each character. Replay the demo to change your roster, and meet all the characters you can meet (and date!) at CompCorp. The full game is currently in development, with release planned in 2024.

I really enjoyed this, and I'm excited to play the final product. Though it would be nice to have options and a save for the DEMO so I wouldn't have to restart so much X3.
I also had fun mix and matching characters in the beginning them all having different convos when you meet them.

The coffee shop date option breaks Penelope's image on her first date. Just shows up as a white square! Also; Intern's white name plaque is a little awkward - feels like it's missing, instead of intentional. Maybe another file with coffee stains and papers sticking out as minor details instead? Quite like the experience so far - I am hoping for nonbinary character rep. I like the slew of aesthetics, styles, and general appearances of each character. It's cute seeing their relationship with each office supply. I'm definitely interested/excited in checking out the full release!!

As for non-binary rep, we've got great news for you! Eight of the 24 datable characters are non-binary. When clicking on 'reveal characters' in the roster selection quiz, text will update on with bios for all of the datable characters. Alternatively, you can view the full roster of characters and their bios on our website (https://www.heavythoughtstudios.com/projects ).
